You may have heard of it, it's the big trend of the year: Slow Naturism. The reference site Naturisme TV recently published an excellent article listing 20 criteria for slowing down and living better nude. Le Clos Barrat is proud to be one of only 14 French campsites meeting this charter.

Here, we have been cultivating this art of living forever. We affectionately call it the right to "Chill" (the noble art of doing nothing!). It is this absolute calm that will allow you, if you are attentive enough, to hear the butterflies sing.

So, how is this philosophy experienced here? Here is our official adaptation of the 20 criteria of Slow Naturism.

Axis 1: A peaceful relationship with the body

Forget fancy creams. At Le Clos Barrat, our spa is open-air: just clay, sunshine, and laughter. A 100% natural treatment to reconnect with the earth—literally!

1.Radical acceptance: At Le Clos Barrat, total kindness prevails. At the pool or the sanitary facilities, bodies of all ages and shapes mix without judgment.

2.Nudity as simplicity: Live simply. Go get your bread or play pétanque without needing to "dress up".

3.Respect your rhythms: Fancy a spontaneous nap under the oaks? Do it. Join the Qi Gong class only if you feel the energy.

4.Natural care: Enjoy a massage after a hike or a simple detox moment in our sauna.

Axis 2: Deep connection with nature

Immerse yourself in the green. At Le Clos Barrat, nature isn't just a backdrop; it’s our home. Our forest paths invite you on sensory walks where the only goal is simply putting one foot in front of the other.

5. Sensory immersion: Lie in the warm grass during our "Starry Night" to listen to the crickets and observe the pure Quercy sky.

6. Active ecology: We apply a "car-free" rule on the pitches to preserve calm and soil.

7. Wild spaces: Instead of paved alleys, choose a "Nature" pitch here, nestled in the forest or wild meadow.

8. Living with the seasons: Our activities adapt to the light of the Lot: hiking in the cool morning, farniente during hot hours.

9. Material sobriety: Enjoy our large pool with just your towel. Just the pleasure of sun-warmed water.

Axis 3: Authentic human relations

The magic of the circle. Around the campfire, masks drop and genuine connections happen. Here, we set the world to rights late into the night, lulled by the crackling wood and the warmth of friendship.

10. Conviviality: Join our open music stages! Just for the pleasure of sharing.

11. Unhurried conversation: Chat at length with neighbors or with us during pizza or BBQ evenings, without watching the clock.

12. Space: With pitches of 100 to 120 m², you have the space not to impose your presence on your neighbors.

13. Community: The joy of seeing "regulars" return every year.

14. Kindness: We are tolerant of teenagers, and Emmanuelle always welcomes newcomers with patience.

Axis 4: A simplified lifestyle

Getting back to basics looks like this: simple gestures, just between us, far from the stress of consumerism. Just the joy of a genuine moment.

15. Minimalism: Camping is returning to the essentials: a roof, a bed, nature.

16. Digital detox: The real luxury is leaving your smartphone turned off once you arrive in the forest.

17. Slow Travel: Rent a bike or walk directly from the campsite to explore the Lot valley.

18. Slow Food: Friday morning, head to the Prayssac market! And enjoy our shared meals with fresh local products.

19. Authenticity: Le Clos Barrat is the anti-tourist factory. No noisy clubs, just the authenticity of a campfire.

20. The art of idleness: Borrow a book and spend the afternoon reading (or dozing) on a deckchair. Guilt-free.

Conclusion : Slow naturism @Le Clos Barrat

Ultimately, Slow Naturism isn’t just a theoretical checklist. It is exactly what you have just seen through these photos.

It is the freedom to cover yourself in mud while laughing (Axis 1), the pleasure of getting lost on a forest path (Axis 2), the timeless warmth of a campfire (Axis 3), and the simplicity of living without fuss—even getting a haircut under the trees (Axis 4).

It means accepting to swap the noise of phone notifications for the crackling of wood and the song of butterflies.

If these images resonate with you, if you felt your heart rate slow down just by reading this article, then you have already mastered the fine art of "Chilling" (or la Glandouille, as we say here). All that’s left is to come and practice it "for real".

Shall we save you a spot by the fire?

See you very soon (and very slowly),
